New Care Settings Added to My Practice Profile and Onboard Pro
Built to Improve Accuracy Across Claims, Credentialing, and Provider Directories
Accurate care setting information is important, especially for virtual, mobile, home-based, and other nontraditional providers. When you add or update a location in Onboard Pro or My Practice Profile, selecting the right care setting helps determine how your address should be used across claims, credentialing, contracting, and provider directory workflows.
To support better accuracy, new care setting options have been added.
What Are Care Settings?
Care settings explain where and how care is delivered. Available options include:
- Office or clinic
- Mobile health clinic
- Virtual care
- Hospital or inpatient facility
- Home-based care
- Remote diagnostics
Choosing the option that best matches your care model helps ensure the address is used correctly for billing, place of service, or both.
correctly for billing, place of service, or both.
For Virtual and Nontraditional Care Providers
Providers that deliver care outside a standard physical office, such as virtual-only practices, mobile care teams, or some community-based care models, may be assigned a remote billing address based on the selected care setting.
This helps support accurate claims processing and prevents addresses that are not used for in-person visits from showing in the provider directory as physical care locations.
Why Selecting the Right Care Setting Matters
If your organization provides care in more than one environment, it is important to select every care setting that applies. This helps:
- Set up addresses correctly
- Support virtual, mobile, and other nontraditional care models
- Keep provider information accurate when care delivery changes
