Texas Medicaid Introduces New TMHP Login Process for Providers: What You Need to Know

Starting August 03, 2026, Texas Medicaid providers will need to use a new login system to access several applications on tmhp.com. The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) is moving more of its online tools to the TMHP IAMOnline platform as part of an ongoing transition. TMHP IAMOnline serves as a single, secure entry point for accessing TMHP applications and handles user authentication and authorization across the platform.

Setting Up Your TMHP IAMOnline Account

Providers will need to activate their TMHP IAMOnline account to manage services, access resources, and carry out essential TMHP-related tasks. Account activation is done through emails that TMHP sent on June 08 and June 15. After receiving the June 08 activation email, providers had seven days to activate their account. A follow-up email was sent on June 15 for anyone who had not yet activated. Providers who did not act on either email will need to call the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Help Desk to request that the activation emails be resent.

Once a provider receives the activation email, they must log in to TMHP IAMOnline, set their password, and register for multi-factor authentication (MFA) within seven days. After that, they will have access to their TMHP IAMOnline My Apps dashboard for all applications that have already been moved to the new platform.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Registration

TMHP IAMOnline comes with single sign-on and password self-service capabilities, and all Texas Medicaid providers are required to use MFA when logging in. MFA registration happens during the account activation process. All providers will be automatically enrolled in email-based MFA. They also have the option to add Okta Verify or Google Authenticator as additional MFA methods by downloading either app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Accounts can be set up using either a QR code or a sign-in Uniform Resource Locator.

Applications Moving to TMHP IAMOnline in This Release

Effective August 03, 2026, the following portal applications will be transitioned to TMHP IAMOnline: Custom Reports, Medicaid Client Portal (MCP), Document Uploads, Provider Message Dashboard, and My Account. TMHP will continue to notify providers about future transition dates as additional applications are moved to the new platform.

One important note: providers who already have Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) IAMOnline access for the State of Texas Electronic Provider System (STEPS) still need to separately activate their TMHP IAMOnline account to access their TMHP applications. The two systems are separate.

Accessing Applications Not Yet Transitioned

The new login process only applies to applications that have already been integrated into TMHP IAMOnline. For any TMHP applications that have not yet made the switch, providers should continue using the existing login process with their current My Account username along with the new password they created during TMHP IAMOnline account activation.

For questions or assistance, providers can call the EDI Help Desk at 888-863-3638.
