UnitedHealthcare Updates Its Preferred Lab Network Lineup as of July 01, 2026
UnitedHealthcare has announced the labs that will continue to be part of its Preferred Lab Network (PLN) starting July 01, 2026. Referring patients to these in-network labs can help lower their out-of-pocket costs. This applies to UnitedHealthcare commercial plans, UnitedHealthcare Community Plans, and UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans.
The updated list is organized by the type of testing each lab offers.
For full test menus, the approved labs are Eurofins Ascend Clinical, Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp), and Quest Diagnostics, Inc.
For genetic and molecular pathology testing, the network includes Eurofins Transplant Genomics LLC, Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp), Myriad Genetic Laboratories Inc., Natera Inc., Neogenomics Laboratories Inc., and Quest Diagnostics Inc.
For pathology services, the approved labs are AmeriPath Inc. and Dermpath Diagnostics Inc., Clinical Pathology Laboratories Inc., Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp), and Quest Diagnostics Inc.
For toxicology testing, the network includes Aegis Sciences Corporation, Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp), Millennium Health LLC, and Quest Diagnostics Inc.
Starting July 01, UnitedHealthcare will also begin listing Preferred Lab Network providers directly in its member directories, making it easier for members to identify them. These labs will also appear in the Designated Diagnostic Provider listing.
